Founding Fathers and the Signing of the Constitution of the United States |
We the People were given a Republic, will We Keep It ?
For almost 250 years we have the greatest good fortune to live in America governed by ourUnited States Constitution. For most of this time it has served us well. There have been threats and wars, abroad and here and at home. Never the less, we stand, as a Nation of United States.
Now, our Constitution is under a new threat. The Supreme Court has endowed the Presidency with new and far reaching powers which are contrary to established law. This President is in the process of taking away the 14th Amendment, section 1 which gives American Citizenship to all born in America regardless if the parents are citizens. It is not within the power of the President to do this. Congress has to vote for a Conditional Amendment both the house and Senate to be repealed. However, the words of the President have impact and a troubling influence for our American people. Words if repeated enough become implanted in the narrative of the cable news, the social media as real, and the words seem to be true.
At this time, a federal judge on Thursday temporarily blocked President Trump’s executive order to end automatic citizenship for babies born on American soil, dealing the president his first setback as he attempts to upend the nation’s immigration laws and reverse decades of precedent. Will the President take his efforts all the way to the Supreme Court ? The Court did not serve us well when they nullified the 14th Amendment Sec. 3.
