The "boiling frog" syndrome describes how gradual, incremental changes can lead to a state of crisis without being immediately recognized or acted upon, much like a frog in a pot of water that is heated slowly will eventually boil to death without jumping out.

Today I listened to Judge J. Michael Luttig give a interview on the Atlantic and this was the heading of the talk.

“The End of Rule of Law in America The 47th president seems to wish he were king—and he is willing to destroy what is precious about this country to get what he wants”.

He was asked if there is anything that we can do to make the situation for the President to conform to the Constitution and rule of Law, and the Judge said. “Very Little”.

In February, I mentioned to my family that I felt like I was in a kettle of warm water, and they seemed to be taken aback, but when they thought about what was happening to our country, they found the idea appropriate. Now we go to bed and not much has changed for most Americans, but the worry about what is on the horizon keeps many awake at night.

I remember when in his first term at Mira-a- Largo, there was a dinner with people who were Leaders of their Countries who did not have to ask their people permission to do anything, and Trump mentioned that it would be wonderful if he had this ability.

As we watch his progression of wreaking havoc on our rights and the Constitution, not obeying the Supreme Court, what is let for us to do? What will be left of our rights at the Mid Term elections? The dizzying pace of the EO's* is far ahead of anything that the Courts can legally do to stop him. And if and when they do, this President will just ignore the findings and keep on his illegal path of destruction...his sycophants, that he has installed in the governmental agencies will do his bidding, and that includes Congress.

It is my fervent hope that we are not Frogs. I have friends and neighbors who voted for this man to lead our Country, they depend on Social Security and Medicare. These programs are under attact by Congress and the President will sign anything that comes to his desk. He has said that not to worry about these programs, but he has been known to lie about so many things. “I will end the war in Ukraine on day one, Prices will go down, tariffs are not paid by Americans"...

Remember he said, “On Day One I Will be Dictator for one day.” His words. The Day has lasted for these 100 days and will in all probability last until his term ends. What will America look like ? I hope for my small great grandson, it will remain a Country where there is rule of law, and the Constitution is still our guiding North Star...
