The Predator
The Predator will only leave the kill when nothing is left to destroy or devour.
The Predator will stalk and savor the thrill of the kill. He will take the leftover and hide it for later satisfaction of his strength. He will come back time and time again to his favorite hunting ground, repeating his hunt of the weak and young.
The Predator has no feelings of empathy or ability to distinguish between right or wrong, the Predator's instincts are for the taking even if he is not hungry, he just has an overarching drive to take, disarm, and destroy the weak. He doesn't need any law or justification for his actions, he is the King of the jungle, and as such, will boldly strike those who are weak and are at the mercy of the Predator King.
The Predator listens to himself roaring loudly on his great Hill and demanding that his prey hear him and that they cower in the darkness of fear. They hide helplessly and know that their time comes when the stalking entity catches their sent of fear, that the attack will come, their identity seen, their life force is too small, insignificant, and weak to keep the Predator at bay. The end can be Now for the weak.
Is there a way for the lives of the Many to protect themselves from the Predator? Yes, it's called Containment. Prevention from the kill comes in many forms and places. The Jungle can be made safe when the Many capture the Predator and find a faraway place for him to live. The Many can build safe environments from per-ordained rules that make it impossible for the Predator to find a way out of his containment to destroy. The Many can when needed, will incapacitate the predator's ability to live the life of destruction. The Many can put the predator in a place where his Roar no longer can be heard and amplified by his being on the great Hill.
The Many have a collective intellect. The Many have their historical knowledge of what life can be when not threatened by a predator. The Many can put aside their different concerns and for their future see that their combined resources of the Many brings safety, hope and a future pursuit of happiness... out of the Many Comes the Strength of ONE.
The committee members—Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams—prepared a very complicated design that was promptly tabled by Congress. However, one prominent feature of their design appeared in the design that was originally adopted—the motto E Pluribus Unum, "Out of Many, One."
