CAN THE COURTS KEEP THE CONSTITUTION

FOR THE PEOPLE

Judge Ellen Hollander

Two days ago, Rand Paul went on a tirade on the Senate Floor telling his truth about one Individual having the power to 'tax' the American People. He spoke for 15 minutes decrying the cowardly congress for giving away their power to determine the purse for spending and for taxing. He also said that he voted for the President, and agreed with most of his polices...What a contradiction of ideologies. Does he honestly believe that on one emergency declaration that the President will do what is right, and on the other declaration he will break with the Constitution and do what ever he wants to do? Pounding on his lectern, he repeatedly said that One Person does not have that right to taxation, according to the Constitution. I remember when Mich McConnell stood up after Jan. 6th and proclaimed that Mr Trump was responsible for the insurrection the previous day and that he would be held accountable in the Courts after his term...

Two powerful leaders of our Congress, their words have no meaning in our real world today. Rand Paul will go on voting for any legislation which comes to the floor supporting Mr Trump, and Mich McConnell will add his voice to the same lame support of Trump. Where is the voice which will uphold the truth and laws which have made our Country so powerful for 250 years? Is it the Courts?

Today in the Union Tribune San Diego there came a voice for the People. Judge Ellen Hollander of the U.S. District Court of Maryland. Concerning the Social Security agency and that Doge wants to have access to our records therein.

Judge Hollander has imposed strict conditions on access to the records int light of the agency's abiding commitment to the privacy and confidentiality of the personal information entrusted to it by the American People. In her ruling, Hollander wrote that the”intrusion into the personal affairs of millions of Americans – absent an adequate explanation for the need do so is not in the public interest.”

To attain the two trillion dollar cut to the national budget, only cutting Social Security and Medicare would give Trump's administration the needed money to give the tax breaks for billionaires and fund Musk's demented dream of colonizing Mars for his future...

Will the Courts hold for our People when the appeal processes begin on so many of the lawsuits now on the way for resolution? When these appeals wend their way to the Supreme Court, will this Court follow the Constitution or will they repeat their folly of making Trump not accountable to anyone...

Will one person's emergency declarations be our new rule of law? Will this new method of emergency declarations of taking away our rights and security be our new reality? Is our Constitution Dead?
