An Art Place of Life and Wonder

This Morning the Union Tribune paper wrote about the expansion of the Iran War, and that the U.S. is bombing civilian targets....

Tonight I will go to the Oceanside Museum of Art to celebrate our City's Place of visual arts and Community. I love this place that I envisioned so many years ago. The City has changed in attitude, accommodations, flavor of life experiences and our place in the world of Art.

In the grand scheme of things, our Art place is so very small in relation to the beauty of our Earth Planet. I see the grand expanse of the deserts, the misty forests, oceans, the vast and unknowable steeps of the Mongolia colors, the infinity of the visible.

When we think of the grandest of the Museums of our Art World, the thought of setting fire or bombing them is unthinkable, but that is exactly what is happening to our planet, the grandest of all Museums...The love that we have for human accomplishments in the arts should have the same care and protection for our Earth Planet.

The Colors, The Scale, The Loudness, The Streams of Life Force is beyond putting these elements in a man made place, yet we do not have the same belief of importance that we do for our human creations. Our Wonder of the cosmos is one of our collective human frailties. We see the stars and think that somehow, we will conquer this infinity to save our human species.

We Live! In the most wondrous of place in our known universe of possibilities. This Planet of the grandest of all Art Creations is ours to preserve, to care for, to save from the savage capital greed of the human species.

I look at the planet in space and see our place in all of the cosmic creation, a small round blue ball spinning on a canvas of black infinity, and ponder the impossibility or possibility of living organisms on this ball of aloneness. This vast museum of our earth, that embodies the past, present and our future echos the historic museums of human created art works, but this Earthly place, this life place is real, and for now a livable place. Can the Human species walk the place see the place that is far more important than any built Art space of our human selves.

Will we do this, or listen to the false projections of people like Elon Musk who promises that he will save and survive our humanity on Mars where everything wants to kill you.

Our Planet Earth, the Place where humanity can live, breathe, make love, and bare our prodigy, is where the Art of life is thriving and for now, the only place where we can live. This Wondrous place, this giving place, this life place should thought of the as most scared of all created Art space we will ever have, to keep and protect. Cosmic Art, Our Earth Museum of Life...

I will not call the Oval Occupant the President for in my view, he is not. A President abides by the Law, does not seek to trod on the Constitution, and does not start wars for reasons that are based on lies.

Every thing that this person touches becomes broken. The horrible aspect of this is that he doesn't care. This week he said ,”I don't care”, I could care less” and this was said about the war he started. The perfect metaphor for this person is the raging bull in a china shop. Seeing something that attracts his attention, he charges forward without any thought as to the result of his actions. I now believe, that he does not have the mental or emotional bandwidth to analyze any situation that he feels compelled to destroy, kill, or bomb.  

I have a hard time thinking about what he has done that is good. Shutting the border down has stopped that massive illegal crossings into our Country, but the way he has done it is a travesty beyond all reason, to achieve fewer deportations than Biden or Obama did. The buildings, food, and health concerns that the private detention companies operate have been allowed to provide, are making millions of dollars for the owners. What they are really accomplishing is creating a mind set of making more people to hate us as a Country, and that they will some day become terrorists.

The most visible destruction for the World to see, is his gutting of the White House East Wing. Why would any leader tear down the house to make a gruesome black pit of a place for himself to live in? He does not own the White House, no matter, he charges ahead, and down it came. The videos seen of this destruction brought tears, for no foreign adversary could have done this without starting a war, but the Oval Occupant was terrible in his rampage against our House of the President. 

The most damaging accomplishment that this person has done is to take Truth from our lives. The horrible fact is, who do we believe. The dark cloud of controlling trumpisum hovers over us making us sick, seeing what our eyes see, and confronting what comes out out the mouths of the anchors on the evening news. Without exception the controllers of the news sat behind him on the day of his swearing in to up hold the Constitution, which he promptly walked away from.

Last night, Scott Pelley was fired from CBS. Sixty Minutes debuted in 1968. The World was different back then. We never had concerns that this network would not be truthful in bringing us stories from far and wide, medicine, history, politics, the good, and the bad. We Never had the idea of “Alternate Facts” thrown at us as Truth. Now, Pelley has said in his fairwell that he had been instructed to include items in his stories that were not factual and that he in all good conscience would not do this. So, he was fired.

The Demolitionator cannot make the American People blind, deaf, and dumb forever. Sooner or later the growing awareness about the corruption will take away the blinders that keeps the followers of this charismatic snake oil salesman in control, and they will become thinkers once more.

I learned something from a documentary last week about where the phrase “America First” originated. Nazi Town USA in America. This slogan was used by Americans long before the Oval Occupant co-opted it. What this person really means is that He is America, thus making him First King.

 

The Children of our World

With all of the horribleness of today's world especially in the middle east, I decided that something had to make me feel better and at the same time, help the children of our world. UNICEF has a program for just this effort that helps the children and me.

I have signed up for a monthly donation for the Children, and hopefully, this small amount will help a child in need. I can't imagine the lives of these small children and how different my girls lives were growing up in a safe home with food and the comforts of a California life style. My middle daughter told me a day ago, that the bombs that could have landed in Cuba were a concern, but that earthquakes were more frightening to think about.

So, dear readers this is one way to help our world. One child at a time, and hopefully the family as well. Even though I'm on a very limited income as a senior, I feel that it is the right thing to do.

"The Stairs to Nowhere"

The absurdity of Bigness. The mantra that we hear from the Oval Occupant is that big, bigly, hugely, is where his mind must tortuously spend most of his waking time. Over and over, the mantra of big is the adjective of his communications to the American People.

He climbs these stairs of bigness and when he realizes that he has nowhere to go in his latest escapade, the sight of nowhere gives him panic as the realization that nowhere is a losing strategy. Thus, we have Iran. His nowhere steps for his ballroom* is not a tragic tactic in the design of anything, but when applied to international wartime policy, we have a potential war crime in the making.

I think of M.C. Escher, and his stairs to nowhere, the over and around the imaginary castles of Trump's mind. His mind will change the image or conversation of something not possible to a new something that will in his mind give a new bright shiny object for public consumption and will be a step up from the bigness of the current unsolvable problem. The Epstein Files are still there just like the floor of the Escher building, the stairs continue, but there is no way to solve the ending of the stairs to nowhere...

The Metaphor of a stairway for giving the Oval Occupant a way to change the conversation of a current problem of his own making to something bigger in importance cannot work, for his structure of holding up the stairway with sycophants who cannot and are not capable of running the agencies he has put them in charge, are not structurally sound.

Now that he has led our Nation up the stairs to War in the Middle East, he  declares that Religion will be the next step for our Country. He has said that “I an King”, and his big beautiful staircase is one of National Unity through Religion. 

Our problem is that the Oval Occupant could lead our Nation into oblivion when the stairs that he has constructed crumble into the abyss of War.

THE TRILLION DOLLAR QUESTION

In the World of Economics, this statement generally refers to a critical,, high-stakes question with massive financial, economic, or societal consequences, often lacking an easy answer. Currently, it frequently refers to whether the AI boom is a bubble, or challenges regarding the $36 trillion U.S. national debt.

I have another take on this question which in my view is the more critical and

broader consideration of importance.

My question is;

Why do we have a convicted criminal acting as our President? For me this is the Trillion Dollar question as the President now has almost total control over

our 31.1 Trillion GDP.

There are built in Control mechanisms so the President can not control our GDP.

Congressional Authority: The Constitution grants Congress the "power of the purse"—the authority to determine taxation and government spending, which are massive drivers of GDP.

As we have seen the Congress has largely given up this role.

• The Federal Reserve: The independent central bank controls monetary policy (interest rates) to manage inflation and growth, largely operating outside presidential control.The President is actively seeking to remove the present Chair of the Fed and install his own man.

• Market Forces & External Factors: Global events, pandemics, natural disasters, technological changes, and consumer behavior play a massive role in economic output, often outweighing presidential policy. The President has eliminated the most of the National Institutions which deals with these factors.

In 2024, 77,303.568 People voted for this man. Yesterday I spoke to one of them. She volunteered that she did not like what he was doing with ICE, putting his name on buildings, and most of all his lies. I asked her why she voted for him and her answer was,“I voted for Him because of Her”.

The word Her was spoken with a hiss in a loud whisper. A discontented republican, she now has become an independent. I asked her about the “ Her” comment

the reply was that Harris had no experience. I did not question her further, for she obviously had the truth on her phone for which she was in thralled the whole time of her waiting for my order to come. The answer of “ Her” was shocking to me not because of what she said, but the way she said it. Racism was dripping with venom and her mouth was contorted with rancor.

So, for Me, this is part of the Trillion Dollar Question. Did the 77 plus million people feel that between a convicted felon a white man , and a black woman, the only person acceptable to be our next President was a convicted felon a white man, not a black woman. Is this is where we are in America today? This kind of decision making was not about policies, it was about the oldest of prejudices, that of the “other”. Prejudice is a poison. This poison flows from the Oval occupant and throughout this administration It has killed the independence of the DOJ.

White vs Black and Brown,. ICE makes this incredibly painful to see. This fracture of our civil ethos, now has another component, The people who are resistant, people like me. We are now targets of non compliance. We are a very large and multicultural group. We are the Educators, the Writers, the Lawyers, the Judges, Creatives, the Young, the Old, the Veterans, the Scientists, the Environmentalists, Mothers, Fathers, Medical Doctors and independent critical thinkers. We have become “the Others”.

The Founding Fathers made a critical mistake in the writing of our Constitution. They thought that the checks and balances that were in the Constitution would prevent a man like Trump from becoming President.

The eighth grade class of which I was one, had to memorize the Preamble to the Constitution in order to graduate to high school. We stood at the front of the room and one by one had to recite the Preamble. I had forgotten all about this incredibly scary event until yesterday. This was in 1948 not long after the Second World War. The war was still very ingrained upon our young minds, and we all had practiced the drills of duck and cover under our desks.

Now I wonder if the Children of our present school eighth graders have this kind of knowledge of or Declaration. Do they learn about the power ofWe  Do they read about the concept of Where the Power is conferred in our Declaration? The Bill of Rights speaks to the rights of We the people not the congress, not the courts, and not the Supreme Court Justices...

We have the right to free speech, the right to bear arms, the right to have our homes free of invasions from the government, the right to protest, and the right to have due process.There are other rights listed in the Bill of Rights, but in our present daily lives, the Rights listed above seem to be the ones most in peril.

The First sentence of the Declaration does not say “The President” of the United States in order to form a more perfect Union, it does not say “The Congress people” of the United States, It does not say the “Supreme Court people” in order to Form. No, It says “We The People”. Without this one word, The Declaration is impotent.

Today, the power of the People can be seen and heard all over our Land, and yes even across the World. The Handmaids are protesting today in Minneapolis, and Rising of Americans regardless of political party can be seen and heard expressing the Rights given to us in our Constitution.

It seems that when I read the morning paper, there are wars being fought all over the planet. People wars, Environmental wars, Political wars, Educational wars, Legal wars, Food wars, Vaccine wars, Emigration Wars, Tariff wars, Ice wars, and Blue state wars, and Social Media Wars.

For me, the last category is the most worrisome. For this war, the Dictator in the making has an army of 77.3 million infantry soldiers. He has 218 House members, He has 53 Senators, and He has 6 members of the Supreme Court. He also has Social Media Presidents that targets 174 million voters in America. This is his PSYWAR Tech Army and he is using it in concert with the play book of Hitler.

He has at the present over 3000 Ice agents who are actually fighting the Citizens of the United State of America, residents of Minneapolis of Minnesota , and killing two of them. What is the end game for the rest of our Blue State Citizens? If he can control the small blue states, as a group, then attacking the large blue states can be psychologically targeted and economically threatened to be brought in compliance. The big tech companies have already Kissed the Ring. These companies have unlimited resources of money and for the most part, their companies are located in Blue States.

I recently watched AI generated podcast of Rachel Maddow , the giveaway is that the person doesn't really look like Maddow, but is good enough to fool the unsuspecting. These deep fakes will by 2028 be undetectable, and voters will not know what is True.

Without Truth,we do not have a Constitution. This War will be bloodless. That is what it says in Project 2025. You may not believe this but, this project got Trump elected in 2024.

A Small Moment of Wondering

Yesterday as I was driving home and stopped at a four way signal by the San Luis Rey Mission, I spied something small and incredibly sweet. The hillside grass this time of year in Oceanside California, is lush green velveteen from the rains and the lovely fragrance of the promise of Springtime is in the air literally. My eye roamed the corners of my stop and to my joyful surprise, the small baby squirrel hopped toward the corner of what I suppose was a tempting taste of green sweetness.

He looks at me, and I am him 

This little creature, so very small, furry, and quite bold looked at the street full of automobiles with their spewing tail pipes of toxic fumes like he knew with his little instinctual wisdom of wildness , that he was king of his world, on this emerald green corner, and knowing this, safe from the asphalt street full of monsters...

He was a surprise of wonderment for me from the Natural World that needs no enhancement of our mondarity . He was fearless from the fears we face everyday with the resolve of our superior brain. His world is soft and lush, full of green sweetness, Our World is one of natural wonders that we with our superior brains are quietly making our Earth increasingly difficult to inhabit, and now the Oval Occupant has commandeered the EPA to go quietly into the dark night.

I am, for one moment, the little one sitting on the corner of lush green complexity, filled with toxic fumes, taking my time, tasting springtime, safe on the soft green corner of eternal growth of the seasons, and know that while I stay in my little space, I am safe...    The signal light changes...

Her Last words, "It's fine, dude. I'm not mad at you." Rene Good was then shot in the face, killing her.

Conversely, some reports from social media sources claim the ICE agents' words directed at her before the shooting were "F*** you, bitch.

The Last letter in FUBAR is Recognition. I don't recognize my Country anymore.

This is why.

1. There is no accountability from Federal agencies or the President.

2. The pardons are there for anyone the President deems to be on his side.

3. Our Federal Government deploys agents to commandeer ocean going vessels of Oil that is not ours. We don't Need their oil.

4. Seeking to overthrow Greenland with no reason as we already have a base there. Achieving the take over, the easy way or the hard way. This is threatening War.

5. Threatening other sovereign nations in the western hemisphere.

6. Murder is immediately lied about by the current Administration.

7. ICE agents infiltrating our Democratic Cities causing demonstrators to react against their gestapo actions.

8. The Supreme Court looking the other way from granting absolute immunity to the leader of this administration's actions, resulting in the ICE actions of Today.

9. Due process for immigrants has vanished

10. Congress is just not there anymore for oversight.

If an ICE agent can murder Rene Good a white American, and not be held accountable, anyone of us could be the next person to be killed for just being in our car, and not getting out when told to do so by an ICE agent. This should not be a reason for the agent to shoot her in the face, killing her.

This agent has a history with demonstrators with which he incurred a severe injury. He was primed to react with the mental distress of this memory. Why though, did he call her a F----g bitch after he shot her? He was not injured, he had no problem walking to the crashed car and back showing sign of injury. He filmed the whole incident on his cell phone. Phone in his left hand, gun in his right hand. 

 This is not the America we had before this Administration, and the Oval Occupant that leads his army and cheers them on.

I do not recognize Our Country anymore. We now live in one of three Supreme Dictatorships of this World. I have googled at length about how to stop ICE from coming into our Cities and causing harm to our Citizens and immigrants. Apparently since ICE is a federal agency, it overrules our National Guard, our local Police force so, no, it can't be stopped. Even though there are some laws that prohibit ICE from using local resources, this administration has thoroughly demonstrated that they will not be stopped by laws, they will ignore any law that gets in their way. The shooting of Rene Good proves this by killing her, then lying about it.

My heart cries about what my eyes see and my mind comprehends. Trust no longer resides on our Nation's Capital.

I have never used another artist's work on this blog, but today, in The San Diego Union Tribune, Bill Day's political cartoon echo's my belief about ICE.

Yes, Dear Readers, this time putting his name on a policy of established usage. While not a law, The Monroe Doctrine has been one of time honored foreign policy that the Western Hemisphere is to be protected from Eastern Countries expansion into the Western Hemisphere. For over a hundred years, there has been many variations of our interaction with other countries seeking to expand into the Western Hemisphere and the Hawaiian Kingdom.

It seems that The Oval Occupant wants to be one of the Members only Club of the Major Dictators of the three Hemispheres. He is openly advocating the capture of Greenland, and threatening other countries in our Western Hemisphere. This is pure madness of a mind that is fantasizing his place in history as the Owner of our Western Hemisphere. Therefore He would be the third member of the Members only Club of Supreme  Dictators of our Planet Earth.

Trump has privately and publicly praised the control exercised by China's Xi Jinping. During a briefing with Republican senators, Trump recounted an experience where Xi's officials remained completely still and silent, not responding to questions without Xi's permission. He told his cabinet members that he wanted them to behave in a similar manner, noting that he had "never seen men so scared in their lives". He also praised Xi for being "president for life," stating, "And he's great. And look, he was able to do that. I think it's great. Maybe we'll have to give that a shot someday".

However, this history of established policy did not prevent the current Occupant of the Oval from invading Venezuela and capturing the dictator Maduro and his wife. They were designated by our State Department as a Foreign terrorist Organization FTO as a justifying reason for our invasion which can be considered an act of war.

What is the goal of the Occupant of the Oval? What does he mean we are going to “Run” the Country? What comes next? How does he induce the major oil companies of our country pay for restructuring the broken infrastructure of oil producing agencies? Venezuela oil is thick sticky “sour” crude. To make it viable, it needs to be refined. This is where the American companies come into play and remake the broken structures productive. This makes money for American Companies, but how does it make America safer? How does this make America First?

We do not need the Oil from Venezuela. Our Country is the world top producer of Oil, leading significantly, producing around 20 - 22 million barrels per day, compared to Saudi Arabia of 10 million bpd and Russia 10 million bpd. The Only reason for America's involvement for the oil fields of Venezuela is to make money for the rich billionaire oil companies of America.

What is the real reason for this American Invasion of a Sovereign Nation?

1. Makes America safer from narcotics

2. Making Venezuela great again

3. Saving the Petro Dollar

4. Preempting China from refining Venezuela's heavy sour crude

5. Controlling the countries in the Western Hemisphere

6. Making his fantasy of being the third member of the Members Only Club of Dictators come true. 

Last year was the opening salvo of a man who ignores congress, established law and policy. This year he is putting all of his “Absolute Immunity power” from any action which could be illegal into real trans-actionable profits for himself and his companies.

He is the gift of 90 million American voters who gave him the Presidency. They Voted a convicted criminal into a position of absolute power, and we now are experiencing the foreseeable intentions of a criminally sociopathic mind.

Can the Rest of Us, save our Republic ? Will the 2026 election happen and have results we can Trust? I have no answers, only my blog of dissent.

The Arts and the Artist

The one irrepressible truth about the Arts is that No One owns the Artist! What makes an artist is that their independent voice is their own. They write, paint, compose in their solitude, and never, never will give this process up to anyone.

As I watched the Oval Office Occupant's name being attached to The Kennedy Center, I caught a sob in my throat, for this vile man's name to be on top of Kennedy's name, was like robbing our collective reverence for a President who gave everything for our Country. Stealing the spotlight by inserting his name   over Kennedy's name on this memorial building of a fallen President, for the Arts, is unforgivable. This person has contributed nothing for the Arts. It is a discernible fact that his idea of aesthetics is plastering gold painted artifacts looking like Walmart whimsy stickers all over the Oval Office.

In many ways, the Artist is as powerful as a king or president. His/Her works are conceived without any input from an outside agency, the process is singular, the making is singular, and the result is a product of original thought. The Movie, The Fountain Head, with Gary Cooper's soliloquy is one of the best description of an Artist's duty him/herself I have heard. Sometimes when a commission structure is involved, the artist still has the option to walk away, or destroy, and sometimes that happens and No One can stop Him/Her.. The original inspiration is solely owned by the Artist. The Artist listens to His/Hers Truth, and it is that truth which makes an effort become a work of Art. 

The Artists of the past and will in the Future give a voice about the world we live in and will, tell truth to power, whatever the price may be. The Arts give us beauty, musical rhythms of our day, challenge our possibilities, thoughts about the what ifs in our world, and ask us to stop, listen, read, and to consider our conditions of life's choices. The Poem, Chicago, by Carl Sandburg makes us aware of what our lives are made of and what we take for granted. I read yesterday that in one of Tyson's butchering plants, they kill 500 cows a day, this is just one plant. If this potential picture was displayed on TV commercial, it would have an impact of horror. Art describe acts of horror, writes stories, sing songs about it, and it also tells about our wondrous world and gives us reason to be hopeful . The Artist can tell these stories and songs, with truth about our real world. 

The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts was designed for a lasting memorial for President John Kennedy. The dominate element, of the project was to give the building a legacy of strength and integrity for a man who was loved and respected for his courage and his truth of being. To have someone who is the antithesis of this legacy insert his name over Kennedy's name is blasphemy of the highest order.

The Artists who have declined to perform on order of this would be king are in my view, heroes. They are facing a potential threat for their works to be defamed and destroyed. They walk away from this would be king, with their truth of purpose intact and honoring their own purpose of being.

The Arts belong to everyone, the Artist belongs only to Him/Her self, and will always, always, tell stories of truth for it is,

                        Truth that creates Great Art.
